The Studio

Wavebird Music is a professional recording studio located in beautiful Stratford Ontario, featuring the best of both vintage analog and modern digital tools. Music is our passion, and we focus on making a big sound in an intimate setting.

Reel to Reel Tape
The Console

  • Wavebird Music is equipped with and Otari MTR-10 tape machine. This baby was a workhorse in the 70s and 80s. Made entirely in Japan, this thing gets that tape saturation that plugins just can't beat, when you hear the low end out of this bad boy you'll know what we mean.

  • Our Control room features a 1993 Sound Craft europa. this was the flagship live sound Console of its time. Used by the likes of Shania Twain, Bryan Adams, and Micheal Bublé.

  • This console brings life to every track featuring 24 Heritage mic preamps, Dynamics, and British EQ. the very same EQ Johnny Cash used in his very own home studio.

MICROPHONES

  • Wavebird doesn't mess around when it comes to microphones, each is hand picked for the task before it. 

  • Drums? The earthworks dk7 mic kit is industry leading in both the studio and live sound settings. 7 condenser mics tuned to give you the most crisp and clear image of your kit

  • guitar? try an SR 25 and an SM 57

  • Vocals? The Neumann TLM 49 has you covered

  • Bass? The SR 20ls covers everything low like a champ

MIXING AND MASTERING

  • We Will Bring your mixes to life. Our Engineer Karick has spent countless hours refining his Mixing techniques. Mixing many sessions with Mix Engineer Alfio Annibalini known for his work with Arkells, The Tea Party, Our Lady Peace, DMX, Danko Jones, Glenn Lewis, Amanda Marshall, Big Sugar, Nelly Furtado, Blue Rodeo, Saukrates, Leanne Rimes, The Trews, I Mother Earth, and Kardinal Offishall. Rest assured he has the expirience to get it done!
